Steve Rindfleisch - Associate Boys Director

Vegas Aces Leadership & Coaching

• Currently serves as an Associate Boys Director for Vegas Aces Volleyball
• Joined the Vegas Aces Boys program during its inaugural season in 2024
• Plays an active role in coaching, player development, and the growth of the Vegas Aces Boys program
• Brings extensive collegiate, club, and national-level coaching experience to the development of Vegas Aces athletes

Playing Career

• Played four years at Mira Mesa High School as a middle hitter
• Still holds California Interscholastic Federation records for 937 kills in a season, 12 blocks in a match, and 15 aces in a match
• Played at San Diego City College in 2009 as a middle hitter/opposite and helped the Knights to their best season in school history at 15–6
• Named to the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference
• Still holds San Diego City College records for 23 kills in a match and 13 blocks in a match
• Played at Brigham Young University from 2010–2013 as an opposite/setter
• Played under Hall of Fame coach Carl McGown alongside future Olympians Taylor Sander, Benjamin Patch, and Jake Langlois
• 2013 NCAA Division I Men’s Volleyball National Runner-Up

Collegiate Coaching Experience

• Began his collegiate coaching career in 2013 as an Assistant Coach at Valley City State University
• Spent the next 10 years coaching at the collegiate level
• Coached at Valley City State University, the University of North Dakota, and UNLV
• Named an American Volleyball Coaches Association Assistant Coach of the Year in 2019
• Helped UNLV win the 2023 Mountain West Conference Championship
• Helped guide the Rebels to the fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in program history
• Over his collegiate career, helped train 1 German Olympian, 3 American Olympians, 10 All-Americans, and dozens of All-Conference athletes

Other Coaching Experience

• Began coaching club volleyball in 2009
• Was a founding coach at San Diego Shore Break, which later became Coast Volleyball Club
• Has led clinics for players and coaches in more than 40 states
• Has worked with athletes across all age groups
• Has helped numerous high school programs around the country reach and win state championships
• Has medaled at Nationals on both the boys and girls sides

Education

• Earned his Master’s Degree in Education from Valley City State University

Professional & Personal

• Currently works in Project Management for Mission Support and Test Services at the Nevada Nuclear Test Site
• Steve and his wife, Nevada native Ainsley Felton, have three children: Stevie Jane, Everett, and Vonn
